RCA CRK33 Remote for VideoDisc Player Control |
Shown above are two examples of CRK33 RCA television remotes that have been modified to control four specific models of CED VideoDisc players. I'm selling CRK33 remotes that I have obtained used and applied the modification to, so their condition varies. I would classify the remote at the top in the picture to be in "good" condition and the one underneath it in "fair" condition. The five pertinent buttons on the remote will be fully functional, but the lettering above them may be worn off to some degree. The buttons have a chrome coating and this likewise may be somewhat worn off. The bottom of the remote may have areas where the silverish paint has worn off due to handling, and there may be fine scratching on the surface typical of a handheld remote that has been used for a number of years.
This picture shows the VideoDisc player button assignments on the CRK33 remote control. Note that the MUTE button performs no function on the modified remote. This CRK33 will control the RCA SGT250 player, the RCA SJT300 player, the RCA SKT300 player, and the JC Penney 686-5705 player. It will not function with any other VideoDisc player, and the modified remote will no longer control the TV it was originally manufactured for. Read the JP1 Page to learn about other SGT250/SJT300 remote options.
