In my on going quest to find some of the less common discs:
I joined some of the AA - Alcoholics Anonymous - Yahoo Groups and posted a message asking if anyone had a copy of the "American Alcoholic; Reading,Writing and Reefer" Disc.
AND
I tried to post requests for any of the "AVON Opportunity _____ " and "AVON Success ________ " discs on some of the AVON related groups.
The responses from the AA groups were polite, pleasant and even friendly. (I did not find the disc but no one gave me a hard time about asking)
The response from EVERY moderator of EVERY AVON group was rude, mean spirited and childishly petty.
So
I still have a high opinion of AA
But
If I ever start wearing makeup. I think I'll go with Mary Kay!

Back in the 1990s there was an Avon Collectors Web Site where you paid a dollar to run an ad for as long as you want. I had an ad there from 1995 to around 2000 for the Avon discs and during that time heard from two people interested in selling the discs. They were both Avon District Managers and stated that a player and set of discs were supplied to all districts. So the best bet for finding these is to try and locate District Managers active in the 1982 time frame. Perhaps Avon has an alumni organization.
