LED flashes L
Replaced load belt but does load.
Tracking assembly gear cluster seems to quiver.
Anyone have any thoughts on this.
Thanks. |

Would I be correct to assume that the "tracking assembly gear" cluster is the kicker mechanism?
The kicker mechanism is what moves the pickup arm back and forth from its parking position all the way to the end of the disc. Is this what you're talking about?
If a gear is "quivering" in there, it is possible that one or more gears in that mechanism has broken and require replacement. If the thing is quivering, it also means that the player's syscon thinks the pickup arm is not parked in its home position and is trying to advance it to home before opening the front door for caddy insertion. Home position on an SJT/SKT is the arm positioned all the way towards the front of the player out of immediate sight and clear of the entire turntable. - Reinhart |

From what I can tell the motor that drives the pickup arm is rotating back and forth very slightly and very fast causing the gears to quiver. I rolled the pickup arm back and forth by the gears so it seems none of the gears are broken. |

Is the pickup arm all the way to home position? If not, move it there and see what happens. - Reinhart |
