Dr. James Hillier, Executive Vice President in charge of RCA Laboratories during the CED development days, passed away in Princeton, NJ this week at the age of 91:

Dr. Hillier is best-known for co-inventing the electron microscope in 1938. You can listen to his audio comments on "Lum Fong," RCA's first successful VideoDisc:

There will be a memorial service for Dr. Hillier at 4 PM on January 25 at the David Sarnoff Library in Princeton, NJ (on the Sarnoff Corp. campus, which used to be RCA Labs).
