Yeah, that's a risk, but most Craigslist ads are for local pickup anyway, unlike ebay.
But it looks to be in very good shape, and would be a nice addition to somebody who has RCA components already. I have the correct remote for that unit, so if anyone decides they want to get the unit and want the remote, let me know. I also have RCA laserdisc player that would look very nice with it, although I don't think that was part of the initial package. |

Like the LDR-500? I saw on eBay? It looks to be a CLD-M90 to me (I have one of those)... _________________ A New Vista of RCA Victor COLOR! |

| No, it's the LDR 600, a Pioneer clone. Also have one high-end RCA Proscan LD player as well. Both are available. |

Yes, that too is a Pioneer clone of the multi-CD & LD player with the 5 cd disc drawer. The only thing Pioneer/RCA did not "clone" on these was the remote, which has a different set of frequencies from the Pioneer remote. Unlike the Mitsubishi Pioneer clones which can use a Pioneer remote.
Not a dual side player like the 600, and a rather peculiar way of handling the 5 CDs, in which there is a pick=up arm that grabs the CD, lifts and positions it onto the spindle for the laser to read. Always a problematic player, the design has many moving parts that can malfunction, so it's a model that is not too popular nor desirable. I don't think it will sell at that price, to be honest.
Buit as long as it works, it is as good as any other similar Pioneer player. |

That's great. I hope it's got a lot of life left in it too.
I was speaking in general from the experience of the family repair shop my Dad ran, not a particular specific player that someone owned. |
