I just purchased an SJT400 player on E-bay and it was damaged during shipping Sad

I opened the player and found a gear on the left hand side broken. I could send pictures if anyone would like to see.

I think the box was dropped during shipping and even with the machine in layers and layers of bubble wrap it still took a hard jolt. Therefore I am not sure if anything other then the gear is broken. Prop the entire machine should be tested and readjusted.

Does anyone know of a repair place in the NY (Long Island) area? Considering I don't have the original box, and it already got damaged during shipping I am very afraid to send it out again.

Any tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

The player was damaged in shipment because the sender did not install shipping tabs to protect the player mechanism. The broken gear is quite easy to replace. You can do it yourself. I have this gear available. Contact me at : cedatum@ccrtc.com - John
