One of the elusive Avon discs went up for bid on Ebay last week, and ended up going for $1025:

I bid an insane amount on this hoping nobody would be crazy enough to beat it, but someone was. Was it someone on this forum? If so I hope we at least get to see it on YouTube in high quality. I just uploaded the 3 other Avon discs that I have:

Thanks for the upload Jesse. So I saw at about the 3:40 mark on the first video it showed Newark on the wall next to the stage. So I Googled Avon Newark and apparently they had a large office/distribution center in Newark Delaware. (Which must be where this meeting took place.) I added 1982 to the search and found they had a company newsletter of which two were available to look through.

There might be more if anyone wants to dig around a little more. From what I found the facility in Newark shut down around 2009 and is being redeveloped as apartment buildings now.

Have to say I'm VERY disappointed that someone would pay that much for that disc and not even attempt to share copies of it. I told the Ebay seller to give the buyer my contact info and offered to trade copies of other rare CEDs I have, but so far have heard nothing.

Meanwhile the seller found two other Avon discs at the same place and offered them to me first, at a rather high price but not as high as the other disc sold for, because he felt that I would give them a better home and a chance to be seen. Here they are:

If the buyer of the Gallery Originals disc is reading this, I'll gladly give you DVDs of all of these Avon discs for a copy of that one. Since I got my first CED player 30 years ago it was my goal to get every title released on the format, sadly while some may just be too rare to get ahold of the least we should do for each other is provide DVD copies and put them online rather than just hoard them til the end of time.
