Just aquired a sft100w and need some help. The unit powers up and after inserting ced and switching to play the turntable spins but the stylus arm does not move. I have tried a new stylus and it made no difference. Also when switching to play I have to go a little past the lock position for play to get the turntable to spin. Any help will be appreciated.

Sounds like you have 2 problems.
1. Arm not moving is likely to be the servo belt slipping (located on the right and back, looking at the unit from the front)
2. Switch position problems are because of cam switches that move from their original position.
Both these subjects are covered in more detail on the site in the repair area.
