I have a bunch of crk45 controllers that don't work. I repaired on and everything works except volume down. I have a couple others that don't work but their volume down button does work. I was wondering if anyone had any luck using a universal "learning" remote. The reviews for the one I'm looking at people mention it working for various infared remotes. I'm not sure what all the crk45's were used for. They were for the msr250 audio video receiver or something like that. They controlled vcr,am/fm,phono,tape,cd,and aux. All I really care about is volume and off. The remote I'm looking at is only $10 so I thought I'd just give it a try. Even if it doesn't work for the dimensia I'd probably still try it with my onkyo receiver remote because the power button on that is wonky. |

I tried 2 or 3 buttons from the crk remote into the universal controller and it worked. I was really wondering about it because the crk has 2 infared leds that light up so I don't understand what 2 of them are for. When I feel like messing around again I'm going to play with the 5 button remote for my sgt250 and see if that will work into the universal. Might be a good option for people that have a player but no remote. Buying them on ebay is somewhat of a "crapshoot". Even if they offer money back they usually don't refund the shipping you paid to get it and they aren't going to pay to ship it back if you can get a refund. |
