I have a Sears 934.54810350 player that I need some help with. On the back of the player are 3 RCA jacks. One is labeled Video which is no problem. The other 2 jacks are for Audio and they are the problem. Neither of the 2 is labeled R or L leaving me scratching my head. I do not have the Operating Manual for this player so I am in the dark.
Can anyone tell me which audio jack is R and which is L? _________________ Sears 934.54780150 & 934.54810350

Thank you.
What I did is mark the cover above the jacks with an R above the middle jack and L above the right hand jack. Unless I erase the markings, the player will be fine for audio output now.
I have never had this player connected to my AVR and plan to have it included with 4 other players. 4 of the players will be sending their signals into a 4 to 1 switch. The output of the switch will then go into a Hitach AVC08U which will digitize the signal and convert it to exit the AVC via a HDMI cable to my HDTV. That is the plan, anyway. _________________ Sears 934.54780150 & 934.54810350

I have 2 questions about my Sears player.
Has anyone ever replaced either of its belts? I took the cover off my player and inspected both belts. Both looked fine. I then tried pressing on both belts to test their flexibility and both belts flexed okay. After replacing the cover, I tried to play a CED and the player worked normally. It seems peculiar to me that a player as old as my other Hitachi players is showing no sign of belt disintegration. Is it possible that the belts are made of a different rubber that is resistant to aging? _________________ Sears 934.54780150 & 934.54810350

So the belts are not immortal. Good to know. I have changed the arm drive belt on my 934.54780150 player when it was acting oddly (stylus moving too slowly when starting to play a disc). I changed its loading belt as a matter of course.
I will just have to use the 93454810350. player periodically so as to monitor the belts which I am assuming were installed at the factory.
I have not heard of anyone changing the toothed belt. It is made of tougher material than the other 2 belts. _________________ Sears 934.54780150 & 934.54810350
