All except cable or satellite- I REFUSE to pay for commercial TV or anything that gives me no say in what is shown!

Tough call, i spent many years putting together my system. But i would say as far as cornerstone, it would have to be my audio, Marantz 2270 receiver, for the warm stereo sound I require to listen to my vinyl collection. The a phase linear 300 for my rears, and a marantz 250 for my center, to complete the surround sound needed for my dvd's. I like flexibility, I can run 2ch. 4ch(quad), pro-logic, and dolby digital. And all without DSP or any other synthetic add-in's. But i have to admit, all of the above is also acceptable as my system as a whole is much better than any one piece.
Sony SLHF300 Beta, Mits And JVC VHS's, RCA DVD, Pioneer LD, Pioneer Reel, Akai Cassette, Dual 1229 Turntable, SJT200 CED.
