Platform instability? Poorly centered disc or damage to the spindle hole or clamping mechanism? Have you removed the lid while playing it?
Is the power supply also stable and that to the motor? _________________ A New Vista of RCA Victor COLOR! |

[Shaky image, back and forth movement. Good chance that you player Time-Base Correction is not working. On your player check the following:
1/ Remove the stylus arm multipin connector. Measure the resistance between pins 10 and 11 . It should be approx. 35 ohms.
2/ Remove the stylus. The back end of the stylus connects with the armstretcher coil using a magnetic latch. The coil plunger end has a black magnetic button. Check that the button is in place - it can come off if the glue is weak. |
