Hello;

I have an SKT-090 player that was given to me many years ago. I decided I would like to restore it to working condition.

I do know that the load belt melted and I think a resistor associated with the load motor circuit burned out.

I plan to open up the unit and see if I can replace the load belt and the burned out parts but it is unlikely I will be able to ascertain the resistor values if the part is burned.

Can someone on this forum point me in the right direction.

And I thank you. I downloaded the PDF service manual. Hopefully I can get this machine working again. I plan to une it with my 1965 Zenith TV. Gary

Did you find the repair info in the service data ? The resistor that may have opened is R5917 22 ohm. But before you remove the circuit board check the following. Measure the voltage on the function motor when the caddy is loading. The voltage should be approx. 15 VDC. If OK then the driver cct and R5917 are good. The function motor may be bad.

Hi. Yes I did get the service PDF and R5917 is definitely open. I am waiting for parts. I have probably over 2000 resistors in my shop but not one 22 ohm resistor was to be found. I have been posting a youtube video on the project. My youtube ID is HD7100.

Thanks! Gary
