|
|
Since doing a bunch of research on CED again and joining the forum over the past few days, I started messing around in Photoshop trying to see what modern movies could look like if they were released on CED, just for fun. Someone on the CED Facebook group told me I should post them here.
I didn't have a lot of high quality CED stuff to use, so some of the logos and stuff are rough, but I didn't spend much time on them. If anyone has vector or high-res versions of the RCA VideoDisc logo and stuff like that, I'd love to have them!

I'm open to suggestions on what else to do, I plan on making a blog post about it on my site sometime soon! _________________ Top Hat Sasquatch | Geek Culture & Nostalgia |

Yeah! I just picked up The Hobbit from a friend, I just couldn't resist poking fun at the new movies' length with the 'Disc 1 of 6' joke _________________ Top Hat Sasquatch | Geek Culture & Nostalgia |

I am impressed! I never would have imagined something like it. I have seen six of the movies you made the artwork for. How long did it take you to make them? Was it difficult? _________________ RADIO CORPORATION OF AMERICA

Those are AWESOME! Only six discs for The Hobbit? Apparently they are not the extended editions! _________________ If you always do what you've always done, you're going to get what you've always got.

If only CED was a recordable format, then someone could possibly make the real thing. The closest thing I can do in real life is to watch the DVDs of these movies on my vintage RCA Dimensia 27 inch television. _________________ RADIO CORPORATION OF AMERICA

Once I got a kind of template made it didn't take too long, just a matter of finding good art and stuff. _________________ Top Hat Sasquatch | Geek Culture & Nostalgia |

That would be awesome! Someday I'd like to redo these at a much high resolution so I could at least print some out at full-size, or even find a way to print sticky labels to put over actual CED caddies. _________________ Top Hat Sasquatch | Geek Culture & Nostalgia |

Nice work tophatsasquatch. Pretty interesting take. Iron Giant seems to fit right in with CED, especially given the material. |
