Hi,

It's been quite some time since I posted anything here, but I have a few questions that I'm hoping someone can answer for me. I've noticed while watching my CED's that there appears to be black shooting lines in the picture during playback. This has happened with every CED I have played recently on my SGT-250. They seem to appear at random, and I've noticed that when there is a bright scene during a movie the lines are more pronounced. When I was researching this I noticed that someone else had asked the same question a few years ago, but no one seemed to be able to give him a definite answer as to what could be causing this. One person said that that was just how CED's are, is this true? I don't seem to recall seeing anything like this with any of my other players, just on my SGT-250, but I could be mistaken. I have several discs in my collection that were former rentals, however the discs that I have been playing recently were not. I have a player that I use to play rental discs on. Speaking of rental discs, if a disc that has been a former rental is in good shape, should I be concerned about what player I play it on, or is it best to just keep a player set up just for playing those discs? Also, the stereo light on my SGT-250 doesn't work when I play stereo discs. Does this mean that they're not playing back in stereo if this light is not on? I was looking at a picture of another SGT-250 on the internet and I noticed that there is a switch on the back of the player to toggle between audio modes for dual audio discs. Do I need to set this switch to NORM for the stereo light to work? I don't know what the switch on my player is currently set to right now, but I will look tomorrow.

Thanks.
