Just came across this listing on eBay:

It's tempting to pick this up, since I'm fascinated by the VHS games they used to produce (Nightmare/Atmosfear anyone?), and all of the game pieces seem to still be sealed, but the subject matter of the game doesn't really interest me. Just thought I'd let you guys know in case anyone was interested!

just letting you know, if you didnt all ready, but the interactive discs only work with the j/k400 series players Smile

Oh wow, didn't know that... I'm guessing it uses the random play feature on those higher-end players?

the 400 series players have a remote that lets the player function in a few unique ways. it can search by page function and a few other ways, and has a "page" button which is akin to a visual pause, as well as many other features... no other player will play an interactive disc. you can put them in, but it will get played out of order...

That's interesting. I probably won't be gunning for a complete collection of discs, and I'm not sure if any of the interactive discs will catch my interest, so I may not need to pick up an interactive player. But that's good to know just in case I come across any!

the best feature of the 400 is the "band function" i have a lot of music discs that are banded and basically you can have it seek whatever band you want, or play up to 5 bands in any sequence you like, so if you have a music disc and you only like 5 of the 7 tracks on it, you can program it to play the ones you like

the only interactive discs i like are the space shuttle missions, the life and work of michelangleo, and of course, a walk through the universe. the other games are really hard

I snagged a copy of this at my local Goodwill a few weeks ago, minus the game pieces (so just the disc and box) for $1.99. I can't play it the correct way, but the disc is in great condition, and plays as close to new as any discs I have (with the exception of my newly acquired Joni Mitchell: Shadows and Light disc, which played perfectly on the first try).

i think the only game pieces were money?
