Check E-Bay, Stylus 154216 at $68.99. Item description reads : See pics - Item is brand new.
The picture shows the underside of the stylus. The aluminum connecting rod is broken. This stylus is N/G
The RCA final stylus production was is 1985. This stylus is 30 years old, hardly Brand New !!

You're right. I compared the picture with a good stylus and the connecting rod is truly broken making the stylus useless.

I don't think sending the seller a message about the stylus would do any good.

Caveat emptor!

Could CEDatum repair such damage (only if you could get the stylus for a much lower price than $69)?

Assuming the only damage to the "Brand New" stylus on E-Bay is a broken rod, CEDatum can replace the rod.

If the diamond stylus tip is damaged then this stylus has to be rebuilt.

So CED hobbyists. Never buy a stylus from E-Bay unless the seller offers a complete refund if the stylus does not work when you get it.

[The broken stylus on E-Bay sold for $63.99 . So folks, check your CED parts box, there is money to be made on junk.
