I was watching a disc on my RCA SGT200 this morning as I have hundreds of times and when I tried to watch side 2, the player is not taking the disc from the caddy. HELP! Can anyone tell me what the problem might be?
I just got 97 new discs from an estate in great condition and now this..... |

there are 2 latches called " defeat tabs " in the corresponding places in relation to the caddy inside of the player, it is possible the spring may have come off

| Sometimes that latch mechanism just gets stuck from old lubricant drying out and grime collecting, and just needs cleaning and new lubricant, if the springs still seem okay and are not too weak. |
