I have a Sears 934.54780150 player that I got off E-bay some time ago that needs a good used cover. The current cover had something heavy placed on it in the past that caused the cover to bend downward. As a result, the center for the caddy slot is narrower at the center than the ends. This causes the center of the caddy slot to scrape the label of the CED caddy as it is inserted and removed. I have tried placing a weight on the inverted cover to reverse the damage and I have had 0 improvement, Other than this, the player woks fine.

So, if anyone has a cover on a non-functioning player, post a reply on this message and I will get back to you.

Thanks.

try to put weight on it again, but hit it with a hair dryer for a little bit, maybe it will allow it to return to its normal shape?

Putting weight on it and hitting it with a hair dryer, on high heat for about twenty minutes should fix it. I've used that trick many times in the past!
