Here's a VP 2000 in Everett, Washington that sounds like your classic cartridge retip candidate...

Great price, can't argue with that.

You know, I've been out of the CED game for a while, but recently did a search on eBay and compared to when I started, there are relatively very few players for sale these days. Discs seem to be popular but very few players. ---- and high prices for the few that are out there.... I saw I think an SGT-250 asking $250!!

Crazy.

That was another case of somebody with a payment to make dinking around. It was no doubt relisted after the fantasy price based on the model number was rejected. Just because you can get whatever someone will pay doesn't mean you can CHARGE it.

Without movies, that would be sorta meaningless and a waste of fees but people do stuff like that anyway because they remember the old days and the 'Japanese blue jean buying craze' of several years ago. The marketplace is mature now and you have to offer service, quality and a decent pricing point, or else start low and work on bidder psychology as always.
