Got the SFT-100 in today. It loads and unloads without an issue. But when it is in playback, it does not produce a picture, and sits there with two dashes on the play timer.
Any suggestions? |

Yes, since you have another player that might have that same type stylus, the RCA 149000, you can do a swap and see what happens.
Dad says that you've got to be gentle and careful removing it so ithe stem dsoesn't drop out of the clasps. Also, visually inspect the stylus for completeness and see that the little lead wire is not broken off on either one. |

If CED Magic were to have a member of the year, you would get it......I did the stylus swap from my VDP-3000 and it worked! Watching "The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Volume 1" CED right now! Thanks! |

And this is where is put in a plug for CEDatum. Have them repair your broken stylus so you have a spare. They are great and mine which was totaled cost around $30 if I remember right to get fixed as good as new |

At the moment, I have other plans for that stylus and the player. |

Thanks, but that honor should go to my Dad, known here as Rix, who cannot type right now, so I am doing it for him.
MTM show disc, has the very first MTM show in which Lou Grant hires Mary on probation and tells her,
"If I don't like you, I'll fire you. If you don't like me, I'll fire you." |

Sounds like that's where Douglas Adams had the idea for President of the Galaxy? |

Honestly, I got it for "Chuckles Bites the Dust"....the best episode of that show.
Been on a CED binge tonight.....finished up MTM, followed by "The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Movie", and now "Our Town". |

Yes, that WAS a great episode. Ted Knight at his brightest (for a seeming dimwit Ted Baxter). |
