Earlier today, I watched the "Walt Disney Home Video Cartoon Classics Limited Gold Edition" CEDs (in the black caddies & spines, listed as "rare" in the title database), and I noticed something odd. The discs begin with a six-minute documentary about Walt Disney creating Mickey Mouse, then the cartoons begin. On some of the discs, most of the opening documentary is cut out; only about 2 minutes long. On the other discs, the documentary is complete. I used to own the "Limited Gold Edition" on VHS, and I remembered the documentary, and I noticed it was abridged on the CED. Does any one know about this? I do not know why they did it. _________________ RADIO CORPORATION OF AMERICA

I haven't noticed that it was cut on some discs, but possibly due to time, being that they could only fit 60 minutes on one side and didn't want to split it to 2? Tape lengths were a little more flexible. _________________ Videodisc and stereo sound- there's no better value around! |

If anything, it was due to time compression. |
