| May I ask a non-CED related question here? It's on another obsolete film format and I have the feeling you guys are the only people who could answer the question. |

| I got Laserdisc that's playback on one side for a period showed lines running down the screen. When removing the disc after playing it to put it back in it's sleeve, I noticed there was a scratch on the played side. ...I know CDs & DVDs can have starches repaired. Can Laserdiscs have the same done for them? If so I doubt there are any businesses near by to handle such an issue. If repair can be done, how could I if possible do it myself? |

You can buy scratch remover paste for CDs, which also work on laserdiscs. If the scratch is just causing noise in the picture but not skipping, you may just want to leave it alone however. I tried to fix one disc I had that was like that, and ended up getting rid of the line but it now skips through that part instead which is much more annoying! _________________ Videodisc and stereo sound- there's no better value around! |
