Good job man! Welcome to the club! As far as we know we are the only ones with working vp4000's! Did you get the coaxial output repaired too?

It was a toshiba vp550 he got from me. As far as I know he only used the belts and grooved pulley from the 550. He will know better than me when he can respond haha!

i havent fixed the coax yet because i always use rca jacks when they are afforded to me, and i actually grooved the stock pulley that came with the vp-4000, and used the belts from the vp550, once i saw the groove in the pulley i knew i could replicate it on the stock one, i was going to machine one out of aluminum on my brothers lathe, but ill see how this one works for now and if i have to make one i will, the player does make some noise, i must not have cut it perfect since i did it by hand, but the picture and audio quality are spot on! this is really a great player!

p.s.

hi rix! Laughing

Got it. Dad says he thought it might be a parts VP 4000 that he wanted to buy if possible, but since it's not, he won't. The VP 4000 is one that we have never yet come across.

(I do the typing for him as he cannot yet do any of that.)

Well I may not have ever owned a working VP4000, but I'm probably the only one to ever own two VP4000's at the same time. Wink
