You have to use a host site first, like photobucket and use the html codes they give you. Then you can just put the code in the text area and it will post the picture for you! _________________ I dont own

(Tutorial thanks to MacGyver)
For posting pictures to forum, the main controls you will want to know are the "Img" and "URL" tags.
Once you get your pictures uploaded to wherever you're going to store them (I suggest a Flickr account or perhaps Imageshack- I've used both at different times- there are plenty of other options out there too.)
Click the "Img" button once and the [img] tag will come up.
Write in the URL of the image you're wanting to post. Click the "Img" button again and the [/img] tag will come up.
So when you're done, it should look like this:
[img]URL[/img]
Now, if you want to also add a Web link to the forum, click on the "URL" button and the [url] tag will come up. Type in the text that you wish to make hyperlinkable (i.e. the name of the site or a word) and then click on the "URL" button again. The [/url] tag will then come up. Now then, to make that text embedded with a link, go back to the [url] tag and add the = sign after the letters "url". Type in your URL there.
So when you're done, it should look like this:
[url=http://www.examplesitethatI'mprettysuredoesn'treallyexist.com]link[/url]
If you want to make a picture linked to a URL, then instead of typing in text between the "URL" tags, put in the "Img" tags instead.
When you're done, it should look like this:
[url=http://www.noreallyI'mprettysurethissitedoesn'treallyexist.com][img]http://www.nonexistentsiteexample.com/coolimage.fileformat[/img][/url]
Good luck, hope this helps. |
