I found this ebay listing of Weird Science really interesting. Anyone have a copy? Price seems high, but I'm a big fan of the movie. I don't want to jump the gun on this though.

If you really must have it might be worth it. I would only pay 10 tops personally but it could be getting harder to find! That and its a promo copy which you don't see to offten

I suggest asking people on here if they have a copy though! Way cheaper if someone does.

Thanks, man! Yeah, I submitted an offer of $12 and briefly explained to him what 'retail' prices are in regards to rare CED movies. He countered with $25. Guess I'll be walking away from that one.

Anyone here have Weird Science for sale? Razz

Weird Science is one of the harder to find ones these days. I've only seen maybe two or three on ebay in the last 3 or 4 years. And when it does show up it doesn't last long. Typically sells for $20-$30 on ebay from the ones I've seen. $30 for this one listed now is really not a bad deal since it is a promo copy. I actually emailed this seller a few weeks ago and asked if he had any more promo or special discs. He said this was the only one he had, that he works in a record store and it came in with some laserdiscs. But he told me he does get discs in from time to time and thinks there might be a lot of 300 or so coming in soon. He wasn't quite sure. It's always a good idea to message the seller and "make friends" first. If he says he might have 300 discs coming in and you buy Weird Science from him at his price he might be more apt to let you know what discs he has when he gets them. What's the saying, you catch more bee's with honey. I've gotten a lot of really good discs that way. Plus if he knows your willing to spend up front they usually give you a better deal later on, "the friend price".

Ryan did ask if I had a disc for you and I do have a spare but I couldn't let it go for less than $20, it's just too hard to find. But if you are interested let me know. If not I would say to just keep an eye on ebay. Look for lots listed as it's usually a better deal that way. "Make friends" with some sellers that have rare discs listed and ask them if they have it. Most do not get around to listing all their discs at one time so someone may have it sitting around.

Come back with 21 or even 22 and see if that clinches it. If not, you are no doubt looking closer to 30. Chances are this seller did his homework if he hasn't seen many CEDs.

Some things aren't worth being frugal about (like Kelly LeBrock).

Thanks for the info, guys. Also, thanks for the offer on the movie, ketonic_dude. I'll definitely give it some thought! Been putting a bit of money into some VHS equipment...will be doing some VHS transfers. It can get pretty pricey to get the best quality possible out of the transfers.

I was also going to let you know that Nick just sold a copy on ebay recently for $32. So it's not a cheap title. I would do $20 for a fellow CED Magic member. I checked it and it looks good. Thanks.

I do not own Weird Science on CED. I do not really need it. I do not use E Bay very much. I try to only buy whatever I happen to encounter in my area, and whatever I can find good deals on. Also, if I know that someone else is interested, then I just let them have it.

I just got a copy off of eBay for $10. I haven't watched it yet though to see what kind of shape it's in.
