That would go really nice with my 934..150 player. It must be as rare as hen's teeth.

How much do you want for it (ROFL)?

Your lucky I didn't see that listing Ryan or I would have bid at least $200 on it. I've been searching for this remote for over 4 years, heck I've been searching for proof this remote even existed for 4 years and the only shred of evidence I could find is a blurry newspaper ad that shows a sears player with a remote that resembles this one. That's all I could find. Don't ever sell this without contacting me first.

I would definitely tell ya Josh! I know what you mean I saw the ad too and that's it. I bid well, well over $200, just like the hitachi stereo adapter! So I would have had to pay a lot more than $28!

That remote has the buttons in the same place as the Hitachi remotes I have.

Seriously, I am glad that you got this remote. I know that it will not get lost or broken. Also, your pictures prove, without a doubt, that the Sears remotes really do exist.

Sears must have made only a few hundred to sell in the US. I remember back in 1983 when I bought my first player (a Sears 934...150) that there were only players and video discs at the Sears store. I don't remember any remotes for sale. If I had seen one, I would bought it in a heartbeat.

I am now looking for a Sears player with the stereo output jacks. There is one for sale on E-bay; but, my money coffer is about empty. I had to pay out my free money to cover my income taxes. That's the way it goes.

Are you referring to the player that I am sending you Tony? I doubt you can get it to work as myself and all the guys at the CEDatum workshop could not figure it out. My guess is that there is some capacitor or something that allows for the turning of the screw that raises and lowers the tray and that it has got old or wet or shorted out somehow and now the screw does not go fully up or down. When I opened it up there was a plastic piece that fell out too but I could not find any place where it could have broken off. I even opened up my other sears player to see if I could find the spot but no luck. I'm pretty certain that it's destined to be a parts player. The case is good, a lot of the internal parts are good, it just doesn't operate correctly. But anywho you can mess with it when you get it and see what happens.

As far as I could tell all the gears were in place, the belt was good and fit correctly. But for some reason that screw just wouldn't go all the way up or down correctly. But who knows, maybe we missed something.
