I just bought the Hitachi remote listed above that was on E-bay. I have 2 Sears Hitachi 934...150 players and had only one remote up until now, that is. I was using a Radio Shack remote on one of the Hitcachi; but, this remote will match the player now.
Now, what to do with the Radio Shack remote?

| The Radio Shack remote was probably made for the Sears player. As far as I know Sears never made a remote for their model even though it does have the port for one. So I would assume one would have purchased the player then stopped at radio shack and bought the remote. I'm glad someone was able to buy this and put it to use. |

When I bought my first CED player (a Sears 934..150 model) at a Sears store in 1983, I don't remember any accessories for the player being displayed. If I had known about them, I definitely would have latched on to one or more of them. I still have that player. Recently, I had to replace both belts inside it as they had expired due to age.
My holy grail is to get the stereo adapter that plugs into the back of the Hitachi style players. I know it would be significantly cheaper to buy a used SJT-200 player than to get the adapter. But, you know that sometimes you have to complete a collection just to have it completed.

im glad you got it! i literally was just checking on it, because i was gona buy it if no one did! i dont have a player for the remote yet, so knowing someone bought it to use it makes me feel better about not buying it lol

I thank you for notifying this forum about that remote control. I would never have noticed it as I do searches on e-bay using CED in the search string and the seller of the remote did not use CED in the item's description. As a matter of fact, he stated in the item's listing that he did not know what the item was for (lol).
I like to keep CED players and parts "in the family" so to speak.

can't take credit here, josh posted it  i just didnt buy it lol if i had bought it though i would have traded you something for it since i cant use it, i just didnt want it to go where it didnt belong
