hey y'all a friend of mine reached out to me and said he has an oscilloscope that i can have if i can fix it. from what i heard the power supply needs new capacitors, and if its that simple, im going to start with my sft-100 and check all the test points as per the manual just for a goof to see if it needs tweaking, it even shows the kicker pulse for the stylus, so i can tell if the kicker goes bad...

how many of you have used a scope on these machines before and do you have any advice?

Oh MY! 8" diskettes...

Are you gonna have fun adapting your interface.

What was the drive for-saving and comparing waveforms?

Can you find a solid state or USB based drive substitute?

I would think along the lines of vintage synthesizer shops.

they have a box you can hook up to an ipad now that does twice what my nicolet does, the disc drive i think is for storing and analyzing data, sadly, i only plan on using this machine for the most basic of use... unless i can find a user manual for it... i havent seen a "floppy disc" in like 20 years lol

i find a few of them from time to time but don't have that drive anymore and anything I find that ancient trends to be messed up or trigger the antivirus software.
