As those of you who read the weekly history column know, I've included monthly listings of RCA VideoDisc titles as they were released 20 years ago. The last "glossy" catalog I have is the August/September 1985 catalog (actually a two-fold flyer). This was followed by simple 8.5 x 11 white sheets, the first of which I have lists the November/December 1985 releases. To get an idea of what the glossy catalogs look like, take a look at the series of pictures starting here:

http://www.cedmagic.com/mem/milestones/mem270.html

RCA was getting lax in the final days of CED, as they neglected to print a July/August 1985 catalog, and simply listed those titles on the back of the August/September 1985 catalog. So I don't know if I'm missing some listings from the final days or if they simply were never printed. To summarize, here's the catalogs as they should have been released:

January/February 1985 flyer
February/March 1985 flyer
March/April 1985 flyer
April/May 1985 flyer
May/June 1985 flyer
June/July 1985 flyer
July/August 1985 (listed on back of Aug/Sept)
August/September 1985 flyer
SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 1985 ????????????????????
OCTOBER/NOVEMBER 1985 ????????????????????
November/December 1985 sheet (two-sided)
DECEMBER/JANUARY 1985/86 ????????????????????
January/February 1986 sheet (two-sided)
February/March 1986 sheet (one-sided?)
March/April 1986 (two-sided)
APRIL/MAY 1986 ????????????????????
MAY/JUNE 1986 ????????????????????
JUNE/JULY 1986 ????????????????????

The ones with question marks either don't exist or I don't have them. I have a xerox copy of the February/March 1986 sheet, which is exactly one page long, so I don't know if there may have been more titles on the back that may have not been xeroxed.

If anyone can provide information on the missing catalogs, or if you can make xerox copies of any of the missing ones, please let me know.

Tom, do you have a full list of all the CED Flyers that were ever released? RCA and others, Vestron, Paramount, MGM, etc.? I'd like to try and collect as many of them as I can get but it would be nice to have a full list so I know what I'm missing. I have about 50 total so far including RCA and other companies, around 30 of those are just RCA. Any information you can provide would be extremely helpful. Thanks.

Wonder what the very last one looked like- was it a black and white photocopy with the last titles and then "This is it, take it or leave it" Laughing
