|
|
| I've googled, binged and searched here, and unless I'm just overlooking it, I can't find specific info. I found the page at CED Magic specifying the test points for audio and video on an SGT 100. But I was hoping there was a how to guide for idiots. I can solder and am not afraid of giving it a go but just need some direction. Thanks. |

You can pull audio and video from those points but they will have to pass through some sort of circuitry that enables an actual rca component plug to be used. The people at cedatum.com have already created this and it can be bought as an add on modification that is very easy to install. Or they can install it for you. As far as I know rca never created anything for customers to make coaxial only players have component plugs. They had both on later stereo models.
I'm sure with enough tinkering you could figure out how to use other parts players to achieve what you need but that a/v mod is less than 30 dollars from cedatum and ready to install with instructions. _________________ I dont own

Well that was a quick reply. I just bought this off eBay and completely missed the fact that there were no av outs. The RF out just... sucks. I'm now thinking I might look for a stereo player that uses the same case. I can send the 100 in to Middle Atlantic and they can use it to make me a custom flush mouth rack shelf. For some reason, Middle Atlantic doesn't have any CED players in their custom rack shelf database

I have my eye on a 200 on eBay. We'll see how that goes. I just can't wait for ppl to see my equipment rack in my HT projection booth and wonder what the heck that is! |

Rick, you have a gentle reminder email.
I'm pulling a lot of nights and sleeping too long and I found my uncle passed this morning from leukemia...sorry if I'm a bit sporadic but it may be that way a little longer. _________________ A New Vista of RCA Victor COLOR! |
