CED VideoDisc and Player Discussion

I maintain a rotating display of computer/electronic technology at my university in the lobby of the IT department, and the current display is on CED:

It includes the 12-page CED-size brochure and sub-displays on microprocessor and groove technology. The column of four CEDs are the foam store displays rather than real discs.

RCA was promoting quadraphonic sound at this time, hence the comparison to quadradiscs.

Thank you for that nice display my friend..

I do have a question... Why do you have PMs disabled?? Do you not have the space to store more threads?? (PM threads) -- I noticed when i clicked "You have no new messages" it was disabled and wondered why..

cool! i have been trying to find one of those foamcore display discs too!

that bit about "flashing" the EPROM is so cool! in todays diesel engines we have EPROM and EEPROM its crazy to think how similar the technologies are in today's control module computers versus 30 years ago
