Well, the J?K series is a totally different type of player, so I don't think it will help you much with what you need to do. I would say the repair solutions topics, and researching the forum will help you more. I know there are forum topics that describe what you need to do, and some even have photos to help out.

Magnifyers are good and the light too. I would carefully clean the stylus myself and if I didn't think it was working right after that, I would send the stylus off to CEDatum for a good inspection and cleaning or rebuild.

The biggest problem you will encounter is removing parts to access the belts. The servo belt requires tiny, long needlenose because fingers are tough to fit into the small area you'll have to work. Remeber that many parts are plastic and will crack rather than flex much.

The turntable belt can be removed and cleaned without taking out the turntable by slipping it around and over the turntable. It will not be too hard to clean the motor pully, but cleaning the turntable belt cylinder is difficult as it is hard to reach.

If the turntable needs lubrication, then I always take the turntable out. I do this no matter what when cleaning the belt anyway. I would not suggest a neophyte do this, unless they have a junk player to experiment on. There is a tip on the repair pages on how to lube the turntable from the player bottom instead of taking it out.

If you decide it is too much for you, you can send it to me, and I'll do all of that for you since you are going to give me a deal on the other parts players.

I think there's a new member near CEDatum with four more players 300 disks as well as belts...this would help quite a bit for all of us.
