I'm a dyed in the wool fan of Star Trek, I have loved it for over 46 years now. Since the new movie Star Trek Into Darkness is debuting this week, I thought I was ask my CED pals if anyone in here like Star Trek. I'm excited about it and can't wait to watch it on IMAX 3D, it should be pretty awesome. Since 1984 when Star Trek III The Search for Spock was released, My sons and I have had a ritual. I would let them stay out of school on the Friday of the debut of the new movie. (or Wed sometimes) We would go to the first showing, have lunch and go right back in and watch it again! As the kids grew up and moved on, now it is my wife and I. I already have my tickets, and there is a sneak peek coming tomorrow night, (Wed) I can't wait!!! I'm so glad there is some Star Trek on CED!!!
My favorite Star Trek is Voyager.

Anyone else like Star Trek?

avid Trekkie here, been a fan since i discovered it...I'm in my early 40's and have a son who is only 4. I own every series..and the animated series from the seventies. He will be watching all.
A good friend of mine was the author of the Star Trek RPG games published by Last Unicorn, I have the great honor of being included in the books as the head of a crime syndicate, and my wife is the captain of her own federation ship. He was kind enough to put all his friends in the game. I own various old school Role playing, video, and other media form games as well as models...and well a lot of other geeky stuff.
Since discovering CED's I have tried to bid multiple times on eBay for trek CED's only to have it go beyond my spending limit. I'm still searching...and as for my favorite of the show...I'm Next Gen all the way

Count me as a Trekkie, too.

I have Star Trek II and III in CED. ( I did not realize that I am missing Star Trek I)

I have the following in the Laserdisc format:

Star Trek I, II, III, IV, V, and VI.
Star Trek First Contact, Generations and Insurrection.
Star Trek TNG: Episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 41 and 42.

My collection is by no means complete; but, I am working on it.

I always loved Star Trek all the way up to the new 2009 version. At that point, logic and reason were tossed out the window to appeal to teenage audiences.

It (the 2009 version) was more like one of the lesser Robert Heinlein novels meant for teenage boys.

I have extras of both the movies and some of the shows on CED. I'm compiling a list of all my extras but I can make a note of the Star Trek ones and post it here for you guys. I'm not a Trekkie myself, I guess there was a bit of a generational gap there for me. I saw the last movie, the one right before this Into Darkness came out and it was pretty good, other than that I don't think I've seen any of the other movies but I have seen a little of the Next gen shows and part of an original show. Nothing that really hooked my interest but I can see where you guys are coming from. I actually had the first 9 movies on laserdisc, all deluxe widescreen editions but I sold them to a friend cause he wanted them. I guess he was more of a fan than me. I did just pick up a VHS set of the first 5 movies and when you put them together on a shelf it makes the Starship Enterprise. But anyways I'll get that list posted before too long.

I've been a fan since I was six. Got to see Star Trek 12 in a preview audience too last Wednesday. I'm not totally sure it was IMAX, the theater was large, larger then a normal one but the screen didn't wrap around the front. Although it was in 3D. That's the first Trek film I've seen in theater since the 8th. Hee, currently I'm watching DS9 on Netflix. Star Trek 1 is one of the very first discs I took on for transferring from CED to DVD to preserve it.

Yes I love the ORIGINAL star trek and I have the complete set on VHS -- They thankfully were transferred from thier analog masters and look/sound excellent!!

I also have all 6 original movies! (Part 6 wasnt transferred well as there is a slight high pitched tone all thru the movie (I dont know if its just MY COPY or all part 6 VHS's))

The first time I saw Star Trek Into Darkness, it was at the IMAX and in 3D, it was very very nice.
