Even after two years of selling, I still have a bunch of working players left over that need good homes. Because I have many more players than stylus, I have the following players for FREE, if you want one, just pay shipping and for packing materials. There won't be a stylus with the player, so you'd have to get one, or just keep the player for a spare. Shipping will probably be between $30 to $45 depending upon where you are in location to Southern Calif, where I am.
The players are working players, clean and in cosmetically very good condition. I tested them with a good stylus. I let the player read the disc, LED set to minutes, used the forward and back buttons to see the minutes changed. No guarantee that the belts will last long, etc, you probably ought to get new ones eventually.
TWO SGT 075 (tested hooked to a TV)
ONE SGT 100w
THREE SFT 100w
First posts here get their choice, until all players are gone. (If they go, that is)
Even though I could get a few bucks for each, I don't want to put them on ebay because they won't have stylus, and too many neophytes there not knowing how to care for these machines or keep them running.
I also have several various model RCA players still good for parts if you just need parts.

Okay, that's a deal if nobody else wants them. Let's give everybody a week or so to see the post, and then go from there, okay? I'm on jury duty (mostly standby) this week, so I will check the post every once in a while.
Do you add a stereo synthesiser chip to your AV mods? |

I do not, it is just a mono rca plug output modification but the board can always be changed or improved with a new design. They don't cost much to make even if it's just one.

Thankmyoumfor the ost, I was going to ask,about anyone with players for sale and help filling out my new collection. My first and so far only player is an sft 100w, I would be more than happy with any..recommendations for a newbie? And Ty for your previous aid, I cleaned up my player and weehaw made my son sit down and watch Metalstorm with me..him not so much, me happy as all get out.

Well, that's okay, Fury can have the rest of them. I'll wait until after the weekend, then off they go to Michigan. |

sure id grab it, i actually have an extra stylus, but i only really want the shell to replace my damaged one, any other working components would be a bonus to me
also the only other one with a light switch i would consider is the zenith, my girlfriend thinks its retro looking, and i kind of agree

Whoops, sorry, none of the spare 250s have a good case. They all have corner edge damage on the front point from sub-par packing.
I have one Zenith you can have for free, but it needs some work. It needs the stylus hatch lid, same as SGT 200, which maybe Fury has a spare, and it needs turntable yoke adjustment, and stem lube. Other than that, it will play. |

yeah thats exactly where mine is broken too  it breaks my heart to look at it all banged up, and yet play so well!
is it hard to make adjustments on a zenith player? it shares the same stylus as any mono f/g model?

Well, it's possible I have a case that's better that yours? I have a not too bad one where you really can't see the corner damages, but it has spots and scuffs on the top. What's yours look like?
The Zenith takes the mono stylus like the older RCAs. It actually can use the 250 hacth, but that hatch is the wrong color. The 200 is much closer. |

well i was discussing it with my girlfriend, and she said it'd be cool to have it even if it didnt work immediately, im not sure how soon i can find a monourial stylus, the cover part isnt that big of a deal, i can cover it temporarily...
as for my 250, just the skinny gray trim piece under the slot is broken on both corners, the right side more so...

the rest of the case is great, its just the bottom of the face panel, i think you can separate the 2 from each other as well...
also now that im thinking of it, all of the mounting tabs inside are pretty much broken off, there isnt anything securing my lid down

I always figured that if it works dates aren't going to care what it looks like so that's livable for me.
Of course having no dates in 12 years means mom thinks it's more junk.

I've met few ladies that were impressed with my electronics.
The one that really was thanked me for helping her find a Deco Tombstone GE AM set from around 1938 but she was taken.
On the other hand, women really dig my vintage 50s Rollfast balloon tire bike and men don't really look twice.
I have no idea why but I roll with that.

| I am looking for a replacement "gearbox" for a SGT100 player. What I would need is the entire set of gears and casing tha are in the upper right hand cornerof the unit as nothing has worked to fix the issue I have had with this player, so I think a new set of drive gears is next. I do not need the motor, just the gearbox. Anyone have spare parts off a parts player they would be willing to share? |
