|
|
Hello all; just discovered this forum and was hoping that someone might be able to help me with a request.
I am the administrator of a website devoted to international James Bond home-video sleeve art across the numerous tape and disc formats since the advent of home video. 99.99% of the sleeves/packaging imagery displayed on the site are from my personal collection; the CED section will of course be of interest to readers of this forum.
With specific regard to 007 on CED, I have been told that the RCA disc of You Only Live Twice contains the 'television edit' of this film (which features a re-edited opening). While I own this disc, I am unable to play it, and therefore archive it to digital format, on account of not having a CED player.
Is there anyone here who would be willing to digitise (i.e. record to a digital file) the RCA edition of You Only Live Twice and send it to me here in Australia. The purpose is to archive the unique 'edit and to publish an excerpt from it on the relevant page of my site.
I hope that this request is not breaching the forum rules as I do actually own the original RCA CED.
All the best and thanks for reading. _________________ www.007homevideo.com

What digital format are you looking for? I have a dvd recorder hooked up to a CED player and I can burn you a copy of the movie onto DVD and snail mail it to you if that works. Also which version of You Only Live Twice is it? The CBS/FOX version or the RCA release?

Well let me know what you're thinking. Thanks. |

Hello and thanks for responding.
The RCA version is the one I'm after; a DVD would be great.
I get a message about 'private messaging' being disabled on this board so if you are able to send me an email so that I can reply with details including payment etc. The email is:
webmasterAT007homevideoDOTcom (replacing the 'AT' and 'COM' with the standard e-mail characters).
Many thanks. _________________ www.007homevideo.com

I just sent you an email, it went like this in case it doen't make it to you for some reason.
Hello, sorry for the slow response. Between work and home life it can get a little hectic. But if you want to give me an address to mail the DVD to I can get a copy made and calculate postage then you can just send it to my PayPal. If you just want to add like $2 for the cost of the DVD disc onto postage that would be fine. Thanks.
