So, I drop my son off at a party on Saturday, and I have a couple of hours to kill. Naturally, I decide to hit some thrift stores. I go the Value World on the west side of Indy and notice a stack of CEDs. Nothing unusual, especially in Indy. Some of them also have "Property of RCA-for employee use," etc., stamps on the labels, also not unusual around here. Then, I see a Star Trek-the Movie caddy with a little sticker on it. Some handwritten numbers, and "Walk Through Universe." Hmmm... Pictures here:

So, I finally get home and throw it in the trusty SJT400, fully expecting to see a Paramount logo, but, much to my surprise, I see:

Very Happy The disc itself works perfectly, and is just as boring as you might think. Anyone have any ideas what the numbers might mean? Also, I am thinking of trying to put this on a DVD, with the interactive features intact. Anybody done this? Chapters instead of bands and all that...

Wow! What a find.

The numbers "74643 - 16490" is the Universal Product Code for that particular title.

I've been meaning to put mine on DVD just because it's so rare. The only real "interactive" thing about it is it goes back to a menu page after each segment plays- if you play it on a SGT-250 it will play straight through and you'll get to hear the "secondary audio" track in the surrounds.

I made a DVD of The DisneyDisc Of Mystery And Magic played straight through putting chapters at every 'room'- you can sort of play the game by manually entering chapter numbers on the DVD player, though the numbers for side 2 are messed up since they start again at 1 and I have both sides put together. Someone more ambitious might be able to make one that at least pauses at the end of each room when you're supposed to do something.

Awesome Matt! Feels great to get a find like that eh? I love it when I find something good like that haha! I wonder if this is a test or a first run of the disc? I would think it would be slightly rarer if it's tester! I have a few like this that John has confirmed were part of the first pressings of that particular title and given out and or used to test quality. He says they are usually of superior quality too as long as they haven't been played to death ahha! Nice find either way and I bet your stomach dropped a little when you saw the title, don't hide it haha! Great find!
