I was curious who has any of the CED cardboard advertising posters that were used by dealers as window displays. I'm curious what titles are out there for these and just how common they are. I've seen 5 different titles so far,
Saturday Night Fever
The Pink Panther
Chinatown
Urban Cowboy
Star Wars
Does anyone have any others or seen any others? |

I didn't know they existed. Would be fun to see some scans of them. _________________ Keep On Trackin! Obsolete Technology For a New Millennium. http://keepontrackin.webs.com |

I have one, Ill put a pic up later, it got bent in shipping due to non padded paper package. Got it from a fella on ebay who at one point had about 15 on there and I would have bought more but it wasn't worth the hassle with the seller _________________ I dont own

I'm not sure if it's the same guy but I just bought 4 of these on ebay. The, Saturday Night Fever, Pink Panther, Chinatown, and Urban Cowboy that I had mentioned earlier. The Star Wars one is one that I saw on a website, the label for it was on upside down. I asked the guy on ebay if he had anymore and he said all the ones from that collection had already been listed if he had anymore to begin with they are sold now. Chances are it's the same fellow you delt with Ryan, he emails seemed short and curt. Hopefully by ordering 4 at one time they won't get bent in half. I'll post pics of them when they arrive. I would love to know how many different movies they made these of, or it it was just whatever the dealer requested. |

I remember the day I first met the RCA SELECT A VISION Video Disc player. In Sept 1982, I went to an RCA dealership to renew my auto tags. (he did that on the side. I looked around, and saw this enormous sign that read: MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU.....TONIGHT for only 39.95! It was the picture like the one that is on the Star Wars CED. Very Very cool. That is what got me involved in this fantastic format! Ryan, Josh, I'd really love to see pictures. |

I have 33 out of 39 from here
http://www.cedmagic.com/museum/ced-player-guide/ced-player-guide.html
almost all are in box now and I have that prototype sgt-200
I have about 10-15 players left to sell that are not from my collection!
I have to be around 2500-3500 disc's now, pretty sure I have every commercially available title now, just need stuff like the avon disc's.
I forget everyone's real name that's relatively new here, forum name is all I can remember hahaha, but I saw this pic of a ced button on fb and wanted to post mine that I got from the Czech!

Yeah sorry I shouldn't say prototype it was made in the line at some point, had to be early on but must be for development or someone to test what they are creating....stereo/look. There is a big serial like port on the right side that I don't have a picture of at the moment The serial number can tell us a lot about when it was made but it doesn't tell us why. I've talked to cedatum about it but I honestly forget if he told me what it was designed/used for I'd have to check emails!
