My best and favorite CED player, and SKT 400 is acting up.
This is one that I got damaged in the mail and fixed and painted black, some of you may recall me posting about it months ago.
Anyway, every so often when I turn it on, the display is a jumble of flashing or flickering LEDs, and sometimes the load door opens and sometimes not. So I turn it off and on again and it may clear up or not. Usually it clears up after a couple of tries, but sometimes it takes longer. Once it's okay, it plays fine the rest of the day.
So, I'm assuming this is a problem somewhere in the electronics and I may have to replace a panel or board. Anybody have any ideas on this and where to look specifically? |

Yeah, I was looking at that too. But the problem is that it is intermittent. I suppose if that chip had a bad solder spot, that might cause the issue. What do you think?
Also, did your Betamax come yet? I hope it arrived safely. |

I wish I knew Any time I have had an intermittent problem it was a weak solder joint. It'd be nice to know, but have never encountered this problem.
I did receive the beta player and its played everything very nice so far!
Were you selling beta tapes by the bulk? _________________ I dont own
