Are you selling the set?

ah! sweet i knew it was somebody! i was holding this for you, i found a local seller with a set new in cello with nice papers and a nicer than my current box, so i knew that the only worth these discs had was to you since you only have a bad disc. all 4 of these discs play perfectly though. do you still want it?

No, I'm thinking about unusual Christmas presents (early I know) for a friend of mine. Getting her a CED of one of her fave films is something I'm sure she would like (Will probably frame it). From what I can tell the ones I am thinking about were not released in PAL format.

Going to subtly ask her this weekend which film she prefers and then I'll get back to you. Smile

OK Tony,

I got a new list together I'll email it to you later today, only question I had was the amazing spider man on the addition list the animated or live-action version?

Tony, I bought the USPS scale, and I am now able to ship from home. If you need to get a price, you can look it up from USPS international rates. I'm sure you have prolly done this, but just in case:)

okay, so i have to put stuff up for the winter, and i decided to consolidate all my discs into less boxes and stuff. so my previous list is technically irrelevant.
i hope to soon have a revised list for everyone!

here are the pics of what i have, the short stack out of the boxes are all broken discs i have a special idea for...

A live action version would be the televisisn series. No movies were attempted until a few years ago, and we all know how that went Smile

The Amazing Spiderman CED is the pilot or premier episdoe of the TV series, live action, which was a full-length feature TV movie.

Spiderman Cartoons is the other CED of the animated series.

The TV movie one is the hard one to get, and was not available on other older formats for a long time, that is until the Sci-Fi channel came out with a series of VHS tapes of the series before they were Sy-Fy channel. Those tapes are very hard to find and not worth the high price they usually are listed at, in my opinion.

Especially since the whole series is available on DVD now.

The series starred Nicolas Hammond as Spiderman, had numerous cast changes, and was criticized by fans for the lack of 'supervillians', even being called too 'juvenile' by Stan Lee himself...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Amazing_Spider-Man_(TV_series)

It's something that you should definitely keep if you are interested in Spiderman and also because it has a lot of intrinsic historical value and lessons about how hard it was to transform Marvel from a mere comics publisher into a multimedia empire as it stands today, part of The Walt Disney Company (The House That Mickey Built And ESPN FINISHED).

I would definitely keep it and watch it as well. Marvel on TV never did fare too well, Hulk being the one program that seemed to live up to its potential. It wasn't really until the first recent Spiderman and X-Men theatrical movies that we Marvel fans saw in a movie what we always saw in the Marvel comics.

Still waiting for a proper version of Fantastic Four, and not the simplistic mediocre stuff that the two recent films are.

Can the mono players play the stereo titles? (If the particular player matters for this issue, I have the SFT100W.)

If I can play any of the discs, I'd be interested in the following. How much with shipping to 45217? Thanks.

The Compleat Beetles
Shaft
Rosemary's Baby

Box 1 Stereo
Octopussy
Star Wars
Twilight Zone
Ghostbusters

Box 2 Stereo
War Games
Empire Strikes Back
Poltergeist

Box 1 mono
2001: A Space Odyssey
Lone Ranger

Box 2 mono
Planet of the Apes
Star Trek
Goldfinger
Diamonds are Forever
Dr. No
Close Encounters

Box 3 mono
Jeremiah Johnson
Coal Miner's Daughter

Box 4 mono
Harold and Maude
Time Bandits
Stage Coach

Box 5 mono
Godfather 1 and 2

Long Shelf of Discs
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
From Russia With Love
Thunderball
Live and Let Die
Raiders of the Lost Arc
Rebel Without a Cause
Disney TV Rock Rhythm and Blues (what is the music like on these? I might be interested in the pop and rock disc as well)

Also, how tall are the holders? I have a pretty extensive vinyl collection stored on Ikea expedit shelves (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10103088/) and was hoping to store these on the same style of shelves. Thanks!

You can use the PM button at the bottom of his posts or the email address he provides in his posts (we have no email system here, only PMs).

I believe I bought the Beatles CED though, unless he has duplicates.

yes any payer will play any disc, except for the interactive discs, they will fit in the ikea shelves from what i hear, i have similar shelves. the DTV is like cartoons remixed to like 50's and 60's era music, from doo wop, to rock and roll... they are pretty good. let me go pull these titles for you and check condition and ill get back to you with a quote, thanks for the interest!

SelectaVision420, I tried emailing you but have not gotten a response ... I don't even have a CED player yet but would be OK with just a watchable copy of the Bullwinkle CED(s) in any format (CD, DVD, or some video file format like avi, mpeg, mp4, etc.).

My friend and I may be willing to come by your place if/when we get down to New York, as a side trip ... when that would happen I do not know. Why no ship? Wouldn't that be easier?

Thanks,

"really".
