Hey guys I just got word from John at CEDatum that AJ passed away 3 days ago. I knew something was wrong, I just sent him some things he bought from me, and I didn't hear back from him.
He was a man who was passionate about our format. Rest in Peace Alex.

John (CEDatum) is going to post more information when he gets it. I never met Alex, I was suppose to this past Summer at the Workshop, but illness kept me from going. Last month I was bidding on an SGT-250 that seemed to be going to sell pretty reasonable. I had no idea until someone emailed me that Alex was also bidding on it. When I found out, I got in touch with him and he was happy to get it. I also sold him another player 3 weeks ago, I had it all packed up and ready to go, when I suddenly found myself in the hospital for 4 days. I was so worried. About getting that package mailed to him. he shot me an email saying not to give it another thought, that health was more important, he said that he understood,
I did get them sent out, about 10 days ago, and when I didn't hear back from him, I knew something must of been wrong. Prayers to your family Alex.

What was his username here on the forum, so we all know who he was? I didn't have any purchases with him, so I'm not sure about whom you speak.

Hey, Beetle, I just sent you an email about the player you just got.

Alex was an awesome guy. About as nice as you can get. He helped in any way he could. In fact he gave me 2-3 players for free after I helped load players into his car at the workshop. I dint expect anything but he insisted I take them free of charge for helping him a couple weeks before. Just devastating he passed away, what a bummer Sad He gave me a few remotes to that I definitely wont ever think about selling. Top notch ebay seller. Best disc's any where on ebay, he cleaned the heck out of the caddies and was one of the few who could correctly clean a disc and didn't mind sharing any of his knowledge! Like Scott said he was supposed to come to the workshop two years ago, but wasn't able to. This sucks I only knew him since this years workshop as he was a helluva guy! Already miss him.

Anytime I saw him bidding, I would never bid because i knew, just like I do, he wanted people to get fully working players and make a little to put right back into getting more players fixed and out there!

I don't think he was ever a registered user here. His ebay store AJ's video recycle was a ced collectors dream!

Damn... good guy, RIP
