So, as the title says, what is on your list? I have some CEDs on my list this year. I know they are already here, all of them are new in cello!!! As soon has the mail came, my wife whisked them away
Well this is my third Christmas with this group and I'm still hooked and and still loving getting mail when I'm expecting CEDs!!!! It feels so good to go out on the porch and find a box!!
My list is The Apartment
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (I snuck and opened it to watch it during the season)
Duran Duran
Lady Sings the Blus
West Side Story
Forbidden Planet
Kids of FAME
So what is on your list??? |

| Scott, if I could just stumble upon A Walk Through The Universe it would be the best Christmas present ever, even if I had to pay for it myself. |

I just won my own christmas gift off e-bay: Space Shuttle- Mission Reports STS 5, 6 & 7 with a rarity rating of ER. I am waiting for it to arrive in the mail now.
By the way, I can still watch this CED using a normal player (as I don't have an SJT-400)? _________________ Sears 934-54780150 & 934.54810350,

No, I bought it from a FB pal new in cello for 8 bucks. It came yesterday, but my wife won't let me near it. It has to be wrapped and under the tree. I got my Space Shuttle STS in the mail last Saturday. I haven't even put it in my player yet. To answer your question about if it will play on other players, the answer is yes, but you can't use the interactive part without the SGT/SKT 400 |

I just opened my Space Shuttle box up and the instructions are in a booklet included in the box set. You can use any other player, you would just have to fast forward to a certain "Band" to get to the part. Did yours include the box and booklet? |

My copy of the Space Shuttle CED is just the CED. No booklet or box was included with it. I did not know about the booklet until I read the back of the CED and it referenced one. I guess I will have to hope that both show up on e-bay someday.
Did you see the remote control and stereo adapter for a VIP1000 player on e-bay last week? The bidding ended at $51.00 which I could not afford at that time. Both items would fit the Sears 934 player models of which I have 2 working ones. _________________ Sears 934-54780150 & 934.54810350,

I want the schematics for the Toshiba stereo decoder so I can build one. Some electronics guys on the laserdisc site are willing to help if I get the schematics.
Anyone have them? |

Has any one ever seen the Toshiba DSA100 Stereo/Dual Audio Adapter? I'd like to help build one too! I just designed the board, had the boards made and I am building the a/v mods for cedatum! Btw you can only get them from cedatum! _________________ I dont own

I'm wishing upon the stars for "Story of O" (still don't know the story behind why that was printed but never released. It was an MGM title too, so its sexual content wouldn't really have left any negative impressions on RCA.) Please dear Gods of technology, make my wish come true! And yes, I would even PAY Santa Claus for it if he brought it to me!
Would love to get an early test disc too. Closest I have is a "Demonstration Program" caddy I found on Ebay, but the disc inside was the regular retail edition of Blondie's Eat to the Beat. _________________ Videodisc and stereo sound- there's no better value around! |

Are you talking about the Toshiba or the Hitachi here regarding about building the boards and a/v mods? What's the end result to be?
What we were looking to do was see if there was a way to build a newer version of the Toshiba adapter that would use modern components that could be made smaller and fitted into a player with added R&L audio outputs on the back. So a schematic is desirable.
It's something the LD electronics guys have already done with adding AC3 (dolby digital 5.1) outputs to laserdisc players that don't have them. Of course that is a bigger market, so there was a demand for it. The Toshiba stereo adapter idea is more of a project for the fun of it. |

Yes, I was bidding on the stereo adapter and remote control. I stopped at $40.00 and someone outbid me by $1.00 and then I had to stop. From what CEDmagic.com said, both items would fit VIP1000 and Sears Hitachi 934 players.
That was the first and only time that I saw what the adapter and remote control looked like. Probably, it will the last due to the rarity of the two.
When I bought my Sears player in 1983, I would have bought both of the items if I had known that they existed then. _________________ Sears 934-54780150 & 934.54810350,

I was given a set of schematics by the cedatum team, I then designed and had pcb's made around those schematics. The audio video module I make for cedatum is to be installed inside the f/g and j/k players that do not have anything but coaxial output! 90/100's This is how it looks in back. One is for audio and one is for video. It is not stereo, just a module to let the player have rca component plugs!
I have the Hitachi stereo adapter now, though I don't think that will help with the Toshiba or wards stereo adapter would it?
I would like to help in creating the adapter or module for the toshiba, internal or external! _________________ I dont own

Sure, I would want one of your remotes. I think (from what I have read) that the VIP1000 and the Sears Hitachi players are all the same internally. The outside differences between players are purely cosmetic and should(?) not affect the installation of the remote control.
What would you want for one remote (an arm, leg or eyeball)? lol
FYI: There is a GEC McMichael player on e-bay right now. It is the PAL version and is located in England. Shipping is listed at +$300!!!!!! _________________ Sears 934-54780150 & 934.54810350,

For the remote just pay for shipping!
I saw the McMicheal but it got out of hand as usual for ebay! Would have loved to have it! I already own the manual!
I have had a player sent from the uk for about $150 (not gbp), so their shipping was super high, It takes $250 to get to Australia so its weird that a closer location cost more _________________ I dont own

Shoot me an e-mail about the remote as we are definitely getting off topic.
My e-mail address is e*t*d*6*0*7@yahoo.com. (Obviously, remove the *'s).
I can send you a paypal payment for the postage if that is okay.

The Hitachi may or may not be of help. I'm not sure what they do to extract the stereo. The Toshiba schemetics would be best to get, then a comparison can be made.
According to a message I got from Cedatum long ago, the Toshiba uses the ARM (an acronym I have yet to figure out) signal from the stylus arm, and uses something like R+L vs R-L to extract stereo.
It may be possible then to use the same device to extract stereo from any mono player. Remember that the Toshiba uses the mono RCA stylus. Wouldn't that be something then? |

| Add me to the list for a remote as well Ryan. I've been looking for a Sears remote for my Sears player but I don't think they exist or someone would have said something by now. I've searched high and low with no luck. All I have found is a blury advertisement with a Sears player and a remote in front of it, but I'm guessing it's like stuff in a lot of the CED ad's, scheduled for production and then cancelled. |
