Just thought I would post some pics of a couple discs I picked up. They have Defective Videodisc Claim stickers on them. Has anyone else seen these before? The first disc is the Fox version of Magnificent Seven and the second disc is Moses but the label is partially removed. I played both discs where the "problem" was and it was so very minor on the Magnificent Seven disc and I couldn't even find anything wrong with Moses. So I'm not sure what the deal is with these. But feel free to comment. Thanks and enjoy.

Looks like a nice find! I have never seen those kind of tags but I'm sure someone here has! The tags I have are different, maybe those are consumers returns to the store that get labeled and sent back to rca from store?

That's exactly what happened. The buyer returned it to the store, the stire tagged it and returned it to RCA for credit, and RCA then labeled it so it would never again be sold, with the kind of label not easily peeled off.
They were then either taken home by employees or trashed. I would say the employees took the ones that showed very little in the way of problems, or took them all and kept the decent ones. |

i have a disc with an rca property stamp, why would it have that?

I have a bunch of those too. As far as I know they were for employee's to take home, watch and then bring back so other employee's can take them home. Like free video rental for workers.
