Blackhawk Films marketed and sold old movies and documentaries on 8mm, Super 8 and 16 mm film. In the early 1980's they wanted to move into video formats and chose CED and Betamax.
The initial agreement with RCA was for 7 CED titles: Lowell Thomas Remembers, On top of old smokey, The last of the Pony Riders, Birth of a Nation, Slapstick, Nanook of the North and Phantom of the Opera.
Program numbers were assigned to each title. We beleive that 5 of the titles were mastered. Caddy artwork was prepared for 3 titles and the caddy labels were printed. A small production run was made of the discs. Samples were distributed to RCA management and to Blackhawk Films.
The final contract between Blackhawk Films and RCA was never signed.
The Blackhawk Films CED titles were never sold.

Here is the vaporware list!

http://www.cedmagic.com/home/wantlist.html

I've talked about this with cedatum, they are unreleased like vaporware but not on the list tom has compiled. But I would classify them as vaporware too!

Thanks to tom I now know what suspicion looks like and I have seen the caddy before but its in there somewhere!!!!

I wonder if the Star Trek The Motion Picture (Stereo version) could be in the Vaporware list.

No, but it is shown on the Stereo Preview disc. one of those twin blondes is holding it and I believe she lays it on a shelf beside the CED player.
