Does anyone know the original musical reference that was used to make the SelecaVision bumpers for the discs? I ask because for years I assumed it was just a custom creation that was developed for that purpose. However, as an avid old movie buff, I watched a movie about a year ago that the opening theme music appeared to be the full length track of which the 1981 bumper is an almost note for note snippet. The movie was made in the 1950s. I might have been British but I cannot be sure of that. It did feature a train arriving on the waterfront. It was a murder-mystery-intrigue type of movie. |

I believe the title of the music is Pictures at an Exhibition. I don't remember the composer, however. Check the CEDmagic web site. I think Tom has snippits of the music posted there. _________________ Sears 934.54780150 & 934.54810350

I did find the original score, thanks. The movie that I was referring to is "THE FAKE" made in 1953. The original score is indeed Paradise of Exhibition by Modest Mussorgsky and was used in many things. |
