Well, that's actually a positive thing. If it worked at one point, then it isn't too far off from being an easy repair.
We have been having a Friday the 13th week, with parts 1 to 5 on CED, parts 6 to 9 on LD, and Jason X on VHS. Saturday the 14th on CED tomorrow.
And also this weekend on DVD a replay of Part 3 in 3-D, Freddy Vs Jason,
and the new version of Friday the 13th too.
But the real treat will be later tonight when we watch the 1933 British omnibus suspense film also called Friday the 13th. It's similar to the later Dead of Night and Vault of Horror films where one story of a group of people placed together in some way tells each one's eerie tale. Here's the IMDB summary:
It is pouring with rain at one minute to midnight on Friday the thirteenth, and the driver of a London bus is peering through his blurred windscreen as his vehicle sails down an empty road. Suddenly, lightning strikes, and a vast crane above topples into the path of the oncoming bus... Then Big Ben begins to wind backwards. Time recedes. And we discover the lives of all the passengers and the events that brought them to that late-night bus journey, from the con-man with a hundred-pound cheque to the businessman's distraught and elderly wife. Time flows on, inevitably, to the crash -- and past it, as some live and some die. |

| Rick, I am going to get the rest of the "Fridays" on Laser disc too! I gave my DVDs to my nephew who was stationed in Afghanistan (his favorite unk let him watch them when he was 12) I can't wait to get them on laser discs. I do have the 3D version of part 3, and the blu ray of the remake. I have see Saturday the 14th, but I don't have it....YET.. |
