I have 4 different hitachi style players, I will get the model numbers if any one thinks I can even go farther with possible fixes, but all exhibit same problem no matter what stylii is installed.
The problem is they will randomly let the stylus arm stop where disc starts and start to play it, other wise 90% of the time they fly through disc and you can hear timing belt or something in back savagely clicking haha and I can see stylus tip never drop onto disc and if I unplug while stylus arm is flying to end it stops the arm, then I plug player back in and it drops stylus tip and actually plays!!! Why would it do this?
Plus one has audio but no video its super streaky black and white stripes. Any one know problem or fix? If its getting parts from broke players it's no problem! _________________ I dont own

3 rebuilds/cleans from cedatum, 2 nos in box, and finally 3 known working good ones. All 8 get same result _________________ I dont own

In that case, I would think it's a problem where the signal from the disc isn't being recognized to allow proper synchronization of the arm drive motor to move the stylus forward at the correct speed. Or maybe the arm drive has a problem within its system somewhere.
When this happens with and SFT/SGT model, it's typically the sync belt worn out or loose. |
