My name is Jaysin. I was given a working player and about 400 discs a number of
years ago. I have watched all that I want to and now they are just taking up
space in my spare room. I would like to pass them (discs and player) on to
someone that would benefit from them and maybe do something with them. I live
in lower northern California (not THAT far from Portland) and I was wondering if
you or someone you know might be interested in them. I don't want anything for
them but I also don't want to drive to Oregon to give them away. I would be
happy to pack them in boxes and meet someone within a 100 miles or so if I knew
they would ALL go to a good home. You could even keep any titles you need and
sell the rest to fund your project.

Just saw this message- I'll call him later and get them if nobody else has yet and post the list here.

Anyone else in the area should also check Craigslist as there's a guy in Lodi who's still got some players and a few hundred discs, some still sealed all for about $130. I'd have jumped on this if I didn't already have every title! (Some of mine are still in less-than-perfect condition and I'm looking to replace those with better copies.)

Jaysin here. Thanks to cedmagic for starting this thread for me.

The player [RCA SelectaVision Model # SJT-090] and CED disks are still available. First come, first serve. I have made a list of titles now, all 440 discs. Call or PM me with your email if you would like a list.

I would like to give these all to one person and be done with it (my wife and I want the spare room for storage - 800 sq.ft house, go figure!) Feel free to sell or pass along those discs that you don't want.

These discs were acquired from a friend, who acquired them from a friend, who acquired them from a video store a while back. They do have video store labels on the lower front corner of the Caddy. And they are not new. They were rented. Some are in good condition, some are in poor condition. That said, according to CED Magic rarity assessment, there are 3 VR, 58 R, and 253 U, with the remainder C. There are 10 duplicate discs, but only 2 duplicates are in U with the remainder in C. I will give you a list of titles, but I do want to give them all to one person. I will NOT start sending out discs one at a time; I don't have the time to do that. If you want them all, they are free.

I will ship them, but I would like you to pay for the shipping. I would prefer if you were local CA/NV and we could meet as opposed to shipping.

Come on guys, these are FREE! Who doesn't want FREE STUFF?

Just so you know, if I don't get a response, the whole lot will be going to the dump.

Damn, I almost forgot about this! No other takers yet? Again, I'll take them if nobody else does as I can't stand the thought of them going to the dump, and I'll part them out as they're wanted. A little late right now so I'll call later, but hopefully someone who really needs them will pick them up first.

I'd get them if it were closer to October. We always take a trip up north then to Lake Tahoe and beyond.

So, Jesse, you opught to get them and replace what lousy ones you already have, and maybe there's some others worth selling.

Hey Mikeystoyz! Welcome to cedmagic! I just bought a disc off you on ebay cause when I see that disc I can never pass on it haha! Mass questions comin up hahaha!
How did you find out about site?
Do you know rix? I am just confused because rix didnt own these disc's either its jaysinspaceman? Plus it sounded like jesse was snaggin the disc's.
Do you collect or just sell the ced's?

I just picked up 800 from another collector closer by and got some really nice stuff. No night of the comet though, lol. Anyway, I will let you know if I am able to get them.

Hahah 800? The most I have ever gotten was 600 or so and 6 players.... keep in mind I got so many disc's in that 600 that others will never see, like the square caddies, story of o, and super rare's etc.!!! I had to drive from Michigan to Pennsylvania. I am always looking but can never find the giant stash. Hopefully boozetroll comes through!

I have a few I think are rare, not 100 percent for sure though. There are very rares but I dont know how rare they are, lol. I mean I have a copy of Spys like Us but couldnt tell you where that fit in. I have Black Moon Rising, once again, no clue. I like my copy of return of the king and night of the comet, lol. I am sitting at friday the 13th part 5, rocky 4, and others that were at the end of the whole line. I have a nice copy of Musoleum or however you spell it. I like different things so who knows. I like the cartoons best, especially marvel and dc stuff. Which I have one and one. I will drive anywhere as long as it is pretty decent.
