Just curious if anyone has one of these and could taKe a couple pictures of it or if they could post a link to photos of it?? These were somehow installed in the f/g series for shipping to immobilize the cartridge arm. The service manual just kind of has a rough sketch which isn't any help. I'm at some point goingto ship a player and would like to rig something up to use like the "packing block". Thanks |

i have been looking for the packing block i had and i just cant find it... basically its a block that is the width between the stylus arm and the side of the access hatch, and its taller than the hatch ( so its shipped with the access hatch off i think? ) and it pokes out of the top of the player. it basically bars the arm in the home position using a block of foam and the case as leverage... i hope i remembered that right... i have also removed the lid and used air pockets ( fist sized air bubbles [ or ziploc bags full of air ]) to put between the cover of the machine and the turntable to prevent it from any unnecessary movement _________________ (2)Sears 274 & 934(80150,10&11350), sft100, sgt250, sjt 090-400, vp550, VDR3000, VP2000 & 4000

cedatum puts the thin packing foam on the arm and then duct tapes it to the back of the player and replaces the cover. I was going to make something out of wood but their method is alot easier. |
