|
|
I just fired up a CED player I received with a 100 disc collection (it is either the SFT100, SGT100, or the SGT101 - how would I know which one? - The one I have has woodgrain)
It plays a minute or so of video and then it skips back to an earlier section of video and plays the same 4 frames or so again and again. You can even fast forward the video to a few minutes or more in and it will sometimes skip back to the 4 frame sequence all the way back at the beginning of the disc.
Any help identifying the problem would be appreciated! _________________ My SJT400 keeps me warm MIDWINTER when the OSD board overheats!

I read the guide and that is how I narrowed it down to either of those two belts. I don't have a player that has page mode so I'm not exactly sure what that looks like. If I posted a video of what is going on would that help someon determine which belt is at fault? _________________ My SJT400 keeps me warm MIDWINTER when the OSD board overheats!

Well, that player has only two belts:
1. Servo Drive Velt
2. Turntable Drive Belt
The Servo belt does duty as the stylus arm drive belt via a series of gears and a clutch. So best to replce that Servo belt, I'd say, and maybe buy the turntable belt at the same time to have it available. |

sounds good, picture quality looks O.K. so the stylus is fine.
i'll order some belts and off i go!!
after fixing arcade machines and some pinballs these aren't that bad.
but it's not that easy, like i tell my girlfriend, it's common sense!! |
